11 years old male, suffering from Nephrotic syndrome ,swelling is obvious
One of my friend child suffering from Nephrotic syndrome ,how it will completrly resolve or not. 11 years old male . swelling is obvious now despite t/t.
Nephrotic syndrome is a set of signs or symptoms that may point to kidney problems. The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs found in the lower back. Each is about the size of a fist. They clean the blood by filtering out excess water and salt and waste products from food. Healthy kidneys keep protein in the blood, which helps the blood soak up water from tissues. But kidneys with damaged filters may leak protein into the urine. As a result, not enough protein is left in the blood to soak up the water. The water then moves from the blood into body tissues and causes swelling.
Why are causes swelling in nephrotic syndrome patient?
You may see that your child has swelling around the eyes in the morning. You may think that your child has an allergy. Later, the swelling may last all day, and you may see swelling in your child's ankles, feet and belly. Also, your child may be:
• more tired & more irritable
• eating less
• pale looking
The child may have trouble putting on shoes or buttoning clothes because of swelling.
At last, If your chilren have nephrotic syndrome, you need know some question and answer. They can help doctor to comprehensive analysis condition. There are are some questions need your answers:

3. Bilateral renal b-sonography
Has he done the Bilateral renal b-sonography or ultrasound test? How about the result?
May I know the size of the kidneys?
4. Has he done the UCG in hospital? That is, the Ultrasonic Cardiogram.
5. how about the blood albumin? Does he have serious protein in urine?
6. How about the sugar blood? Does he have other complications like heart problem, Hypertension? What treatment is he taking now?
7. His GFR, I mean the Glomerulus Filtration Rate? or his renal function? what treatments is he taking now and how about the effects?
